Episode 3
In this episode I have a conversation with Dr Nicole Garofano about how she got into plastics research and what constitutes solid waste management.
Nicole has had an interesting career journey and provides a little insight into how she got started, after ending up in Barbados in the Caribbean. Nicole explains what is involved with solid waste management and the issues it presents for small island states that have limited land availability.
This episode was recorded in late 2016 at the start of Nicole's research on solid waste management in small island states. Check back in a few weeks time for part two with Nicole, where she will share her research findings from the past 3 years.
